David Licauco recalls first sentence he said to Barbie Forteza

David Licauco and Barbie Forteza’s first conversation is not a typical one!

On Bea Alonzo’s latest YouTube video, David looked back on the first words he said to his fellow Kapuso star.

“First sentence ko sa kanya, sabi ko ‘Uy, Barbie, uhm, breadwinner ka ba?” David recalled while giggling.

“Ang labo naman din talaga, ‘di ba?” he added.

David said that he gets shy when approaching his fellow actors on the set.

“Ako kasi, medyo mahiyain ako to approach, especially ‘pag nasa taping. Parang ‘di ko alam, anong sasabihin ko dito? So I was overthinking stuff,” David said.

“Na-realize ko weird naman talaga yung sinabi ko sa kanya,” he continued.

“Kasi siguro na-overhear ko na ganon,” explained the Pambansang Ginoo.

In his defense, the sentence came out of admiration for Barbie and made him think, “Wow, galing naman nya. Pa’no s’ya naging ganon?”

David and Barbie are set to make their primetime comeback for the remake of the "Maging Sino Ka Man" series.

It's the latest project lined up for the two, following their incredibly successful love team in the historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra," which is now streaming on Netflix.

In May, Barbie and David flew to South Korea to shoot their film "That Kind of Love." —VBL, GMA Integrated News
