Michael V named 'Pinoy Pop Culture Icon' at Toycon PH

Kapuso comedy genius Michael V was given the "Pop Culture Icon" award at the Toycon PH, Cata Tibayan reported on "State of the Nation" on Friday.

The award was given to the actor in recognition of his incomparable contribution to the fields of music, television, films, and online platforms.

"It's something that I would cherish, for a long time," said Michael V in a interview.

"Kasi itong yung ano e, ito ang personality ko. And, to be able to receive this award na parang embodiment ng pagkatao ko. Parang napaka-special para sa akin," he added.

Michael V is also known as Bitoy, which is a character he created in the long-running comedy gag show "Bubble Gang."

He also visited GMA Network's "Voltes V: Legacy" booth at the Toycon wherein thousands of toys, collectibles, and memorabilia are on display and for sale. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
