Barbie Forteza, David Licauco act out iconic 'Maging Sino Ka Man' scene
Barbie Forteza and David Licauco performed a sample of the iconic ending scene of "Maging Sino Ka Man."
As seen in Cata Tibayan's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, Barbie and David gamely stepped into the roles originally played by Sharon Cuneta and Sen. Robin Padilla.
"Mahal na nga kita eh. Suko na nga ako sa iyo. Pero langit ka, lupa ako," said David, who is playing Carding.
"Kaya ko naman bumaba. Kaya kitang mahalin maging sino ka man!" replied Barbie, who is playing Monique.
The popular '90s film will reimagined into a series featuring Team BarDa, and according to Barbie, they tweaked the characters a little bit.
"The audience can expect a BarDa touch to 'Maging Sino Ka Man,' which is a modern approach. Mas Gen Z, mas now, with tackling the issues today para mas relevant," said the Kapuso Primetime Princess.
David said he had to undergo acting workshops for both drama and action in preparation for the film.
"Pinakamahirap na role kasi malayo siya sa roles na ginampanan ko before. Especially now ang dami naming action scenes, iyong pressure na iyon I try to make it a motivation," he said.
Even Barbie is heading to her action star era!
"Casual na casual lang akong tinanong ni Direk Enzo, 'Barbie gusto ma ba mag-action?'" she said. "Tapos ngayon pinagte-training na ko. 'Wait lang, totoo pala iyon?' Totoong question pala iyon."
Barbie and David attended the story conference for "Maging Sino Ka Man" on Wednesday. They were joined by other cast members like Juancho Triviño who will play Gilbert, the role previously held by Edu Manzano.
Team BarDa rose to popularity when they played Fidel and Klay in historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra," which is now streaming on Netflix.
They recently shot a film in South Korea titled "That Kind of Love."
