Mario Dumaual dies at 64

Mario Dumaual, a well-known broadcaster and journalist, has passed away. He was 64 years old.

On Wednesday, his death was confirmed through a social media post on his official Facebook account.

According to the post, Mario died earlier today due to septic shock. He was confined at the Philippine Heart Center for a month, battling a severe fungal infection which was a complication during his recovery from a heart attack.

"What comforts us is he knew that we were always with him, waiting for him and that home was wherever he felt our love," his family wrote.

"We also made it a point to let him know how loved he was by his friends in the industry and even kind strangers who have been offering prayers and help for his recovery," they added.

His family will post the details of his wake in the coming days.

Rest in peace, Mario Dumaual.
