Ruru Madrid undergoes MMA, motocross training for 'The Black Rider'

Ruru Madrid is preparing hard for his role in upcoming action series "The Black Rider."

According to Cata Tibayan's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the Kapuso Action-Drama Prince plans to do the stunts and fight scenes himself as much as possible.

He trained in mixed martial arts and of course, motorcycle riding.

"I also trained motocross for this, nag-big bike ako kasi challenging din ang pagmomotor. Nag-training din kami for cinematic fight scenes," he said.

Ruru said starring in an action series is one of his childhood dreams and he will give his all to make the project a success.

"I just want to get better in every projects na ginagawa ko," he said. "I guess itong 'Black Rider' iyong proyekto na matagal ko nang pinangarap, bata pa lang ako pangarap ko talaga maging action star."

Ruru will also star with Matteo Guidicelli in "The Black Rider."

"Napakatindi ng mga action scenes Direk Monty the writers, the action scenes are very different," said the "Unang Hirit" host.

"He developed this show to give due respect to all frontliners nung pandemic iyong mga delivery riders kahit may pandemic nagtatrabaho pa rin sila."

Other cast members include Raymart Santiago, Gary Estrada, Zoren Legaspi, Katrina Halili, Rio Locsin, Gladys Reyes, Kim Perez, Luis Hontiveros, Saviour Ramos, and more.
