Jo Koy receives YouTube Gold Plaque for reaching 1M subscribers

Jo Koy just surpassed 1 million subscribers on YouTube!

On Instagram, the Filipino-American stand-up comedian shared an unboxing video of his gold plaque given by the video streaming site YouTube for having a million subscribers.

"YouTube Gold Plaque baby… 1M subs!" Jo Koy said in the caption.

"Thank you everyone for making this possible," he added.

Last year, Jo Koy visited the Philippines for his "Funny is Funny" show.

In his interview with GMA News Online last year, he said "being very entertaining and very loving" are what he loves most about being Filipino, apart from adobo, Vicks Vaporub, and his mom.

Jo Koy rose to prominence after bringing Filipino culture front and center to the mainstream.
