Ogie Alcasid 'would love to work' with Michael V. again
Will Ogie Alcasid and Michael V. bring back their iconic duo?
Ogie has expressed hopes of working with Michael V in the future, given that “It’s Showtime” now has a new home in GMA Network’s GTV.
Following the contract signing between the two parties on Wednesday, Ogie told members of the press that he recently met up with his close friend and former “Bubble Gang” co-star. They talked about how the network executives were already discussing the transfer. When the news was finally announced, Bitoy sent him a shocked emoji.
“I would love to work with him again,” Ogie said.
When asked if he could possibly be a guest on “Bubble Gang,” the singer and actor said, “Maybe. Hindi ko alam.” He added with a laugh, “Who knows, if kaya pa ng powers ko.”
GMA News Online asked Ogie if he would like to sing or act in a comedy bit with Michael V. He said, “Hindi ko alam eh kung ano man ang... Maganda siguro gumawa ulit kami ng mga sketch.”
He added, “Pero si Bitoy na bahala nun, siya 'yung creative guy eh.”Among Bitoy and Ogie's most popular characters are Yaya and Angelina.
"It's Showtime, will have its GTV premiere on July 1 at 11:30 a.m., after which it will air on GTV from Monday to Saturday at 12 n.n.
In a speech at the contract signing event, GMA Network’s Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon said that “TV war is over.” ABS-CBN’s President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak also thanked GMA for the kindness.
Ogie also gave a heartwarming speech where he said, “Talagang maliit ang mundo natin, sapagkat may mga taong malalaki ang mga puso tulad po ninyo, na nag-welcome sa amin."
His fellow hosts Anne Curtis and Kim Chiu turned emotional at the event.
