'It's Showtime' preparing 'unkabogable' opening number for GTV debut
Look forward to an "unkabogable" opening number on "It's Showtime" this Saturday, madlang people!
The noontime show just had their contract signing with GTV on Wednesday, a few days ahead of their announced debut on the Kapuso channel.
In Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," "It's Showtime" host Vice Ganda said they are getting ready to showcase something special for the viewers.
"'Yung mga preparations ng 'Showtime,' just like the other opening numbers na ginagawa namin kapag may major event sa 'Showtime,' hindi naman namin sinasayang 'yung pag-ere namin," she said.
"Siyempre knowing me ayoko naman ng puchu-puchu," she added.
Anne Curtis, meanwhile, quipped about performing a song.
"I'm going to prepare my singing voice," she said, laughing. "I'm just very excited for July 1, it's going to be remarkable and memorable and historical moment."
According to ABS-CBN executive Lauren Dyogi, Kapuso and Kapamilya stars will join forces on "It's Showtime" this Saturday.
"It's Showtime" officially inked a deal to air on GTV on Wednesday afternoon. The show's move to the Kapuso Network was announced last week.
Anne and other hosts like Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, and Jhong Hilario became emotional during the contract signing event.
Meanwhile, GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon said "TV war is finally over" after ABS-CBN's President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak thanked GMA for welcoming the show.
"It's Showtime" will have its GTV premiere on July 1 at 11:30am, after which it will air from Monday to Saturday at 12nn. —MGP, GMA Integrated News
