Herlene Budol turns emotional following successful pilot episode of 'Magandang Dilag'

Herlene Budol couldn't help but become emotional following the success of “Magandang Dilag’s” pilot episode, which marks her first lead role in a series.

In Claire Lacanilao’s report on “24 Oras” on Tuesday, Herlene was seen tearing up during a livestream with her co-stars.

Herlene also called the project a big blessing.

“Sobrang saya ko, Lord. Thank you so much," she said.

On top of the series, Herlene is also an official candidate for this year’s Miss Grand Philippines.

It is Herlene's second stab at beauty pageants, after becoming a first runner-up in Binibining Pilipinas 2022, where she also won seven special awards.

She was set to compete in her first international pageant, Miss Planet International in 2022, but withdrew “[due] to uncertainties by the organizers.” The candidates were not treated well, she said. —Carby Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
