Ysabel Ortega says 'Voltes V: Legacy' co-stars have become her family
The "Voltes V: Legacy" stars are not just family onscreen, but off-screen, too!
In an interview on "Updated With Nelson Canlas," Ysabel Ortega says her co-stars drew her out of her shell.
"I was a very shy person," she said. "I still am actually, pero nung na-meet ko kasi 'yung 'Voltes V' cast ko and 'yung character ko at the same time parang doon ako talaga lumabas sa shell ko. "
"And I always say din na 'yun nga, parang 'yung 'Voltes V' cast iyon talaga 'yung parang naging family ko dito sa showbiz kasi we've known each other for the longest time halos magkakaedad kami lahat."
Because she finally had a "barkada" on set, she had a chance to "bloom."
"Mas nagkaroon ako ng kulit, mas lumabas' yung kulit ko kasi halos parang barkada ko lang din 'yung kasama ko," she said.
More than that, due to the training given to her by the show, she learned to have more confidence "physically."
And of course, we can't forget about her fellow series star and real life suitor, Miguel Tanfelix.
"Aside from the cast, of course, palagi ko rin sinasabi na nakatulong din si Miguel sa pag shell out ng confidence ko," Ysabel said.
In February, Miguel confessed that he's courting Ysabel and that he loves her very much.
While the two of them have yet to confirm whether or not they're officially dating, they often post about each other on Instagram. Recently, they went on a "Sundate."
Ysabel stars as Jamie Robinson in the Philippine adaptation of the iconic "Voltes V."
In an earlier press conference, she said she wants to show an "astig" version of the character.
The series has earned a lot of hype, even entering the list of top 10 most-followed new shows on Instagram. Japanese fans were also impressed by the live-action adaptation.
"Voltes V: Legacy" airs weekdays on GMA Telebabad at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also livestreamed on the GMA Network YouTube channel and GMANetwork.com/KapusoStream. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
