Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes's new film 'tailor-made' for DongYan
DongYan fans! Are you excited for Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes's upcoming film?
According Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the Kapuso Royal Couple's return to the big screen is a feel-good family drama with touches of magical realism.
Titled "Rewind," the story is about second chances. It will be directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.
"Bukod sa parati kong pangarap na makasama si misis hindi lang sa TV, kundi pati na rin sa pelikula, talagang napakaganda talaga ng kwento na nababagay sa panahon ngayon," Dingdong said about once again working with his wife.
"Sabi ko nga, 'Dad sobrang ganda naman ng pelikula na ito.' Sabi ko kailangan magawan ko ng paraan, gagawin ko talaga ito," Marian added.
The project was supposed to be done years ago but was eventually put on hold due to the pandemic.
Instead of finding new cast members, the producers patiently waited for Marian and Dingdong's availability as the film is "tailor-made" for DongYan.
DongYan's last project together for the big screen was in 2010 for the GMA offering "You To Me Are Everything."
Dingdong currently stars in the murder mystery series "The Royal Blood."
Marian's television return, meanwhile, is already in the works.
The actress expressed her excitement for the project, as she will be portraying two roles, including an alien character.
Marian and Dingdong have been married since 2014. They have a daughter named Zia and a son named Sixto.
