Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes to star as a love team in upcoming movie
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, also known as “DongYan,” are making a comeback!
On the “Today’s Talk” segment of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Tito Boy announced that a film starring GMA’s royal couple is already in the works.
“After 13 years, magsasama muli ang GMA’s royal couple, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera,” Boy said.
“Ang pelikulang ito na pagsasamahan ni Marian at ni Dingdong is a collaboration, is a co-production among APT Entertainment, Star Cinema, and Agosto Dos Media ni Dingdong,” the King of Talk added.
Other details of the film will be revealed in the coming days, Boy said.
Meanwhile on Instagram, Dingdong said the film will be called "Rewind" and it will be directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.
"An exciting project is in the making, and this time, I have the pleasure of working alongside my amazing wife," Dong said as he shared photos from what appears to be a press event for the movie.
"This masterpiece, created by Enrico Santos and Joel Mercado, holds a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to share it with all of you," he added.
“You to Me Are Everything” was the last movie of the DongYan tandem released in 2010.
They also starred in the film “One True Love” and in GMA’s remake of “Marimar,” where they first met each other.
Marian and Dingdong have been married since 2014. They have a daughter named Zia and a son named Sixto.
