Vice Ganda, other 'It's Showtime' hosts react to GTV airing of noontime show

So "It's Showtime," is set to air on GMA's GTV starting July 1, from Monday to Saturday at 12 noon.

Following the surprise development, Vice Ganda and the other hosts of ABS-CBN's iconic noontime show took to social media to share their reactions to the move.

On Instagram, Vice wrote a letter to the “It’s Showtime” family following the turn of events, acknowledging their presumed surprise, fear, and a slew of other emotions.

“Haaaaay!” the comedian said. “Hingang malalim. May kaguluhan at kabilisan ang mga ganap. Ganunpaman, kalma lang (at least try).”

According to Vice, the sudden turn of events should be seen as easy peasy after what they've been through in the past. “Naranasan na natin ang ma-torture, mabugbog, inilibing nang buhay. Ngayon pa ba! Tapik na lang to!” she assured her fans.

Vice Ganda said that the show’s real home is with the Madlang People.

“Madami mang walang kasiguruhan, pero sigurado akong mahal tayo ng minamahal nating Madlang People. At ang pagmamahal na yun ang bumuhay sa'tin sa bawat paghihingalong naranasan noon. Ang puso ng Madlang People ang TOTOONG TAHANAN natin,” she said.

Vice assured fans that nothing has changed. “Patuloy tayong magpapasaya at magbibigay ng pag-asa. Maniwala ka, ‘Ituloy lang ang sikap, sa dulo'y kikislap!’”

She ended with the quote, "Life is fascinating and makes you grateful. When it takes one thing from you it always replaces it with something else."

She signed the letter with fans’ term of endearment, “Meme.”

On Twitter, Anne Curtis acknowledged this new chapter.

“At sa mga Solid Showtimers, Madlang People at mga Kapuso, G na G na? See ya on July 1 sa GTV,” she said.

Teddy Corpuz also tweeted about this new beginning.

“Sabi nga ng kanta ‘ang buhay ay gulong umiikot lang.’ May nag sarang pinto pero may magbubukas na bagong pintuan. San man kami dalhin, alam namin kasama namin si Lord at ang madlang people! Solid!” he said.

Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, Jugs Jugueta, and Ogie Alcasid also said that they are “G na G.”

Other “It’s Showtime” hosts include Karylle, Amy Perez, Kim Chiu, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, and Cianne Dominguez.

Before the official announcement on Tuesday, GMA and Vice Ganda teased netizens with a poster about airing "It's Showtime" on GTV.

GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon said “a big contract signing event” will happen soon.

"It's Showtime" will begin airing on GTV on July 1. It will take the lunchtime slot, 12nn, from Monday to Saturday.

GTV on Channel 27, also known as Good Television, is a Philippines free-to-air television network wholly owned by GMA Network.

Among its programs include "Balitanghali," "Dapat Alam Mo!" and "Farm to Table." It also airs the NCAA.
