Khalil Ramos, Ashley Ortega to star in Cinemalaya film entry 'As If It's True'
Khalil Ramos and Ashley Ortega are set to star in upcoming film "As If It's True," an official entry for this year's Cinemalaya Film Festival.
On Instagram, Sparkle shared the official film poster of "As If It's True," where Khalil and Ashley leaned toward each other in a close-up shot.
The film is directed by John Rogers and is produced by The Idea First Company.
Ashley previously said giving life to her character Gemma Stone in "As If It's True" is "another achievement unlocked" because she has been wanting to do a Cinemalaya movie to get out of her comfort zone as an actress.
"Filming this movie certainly made me love my craft more and pushed me further to the next level," Ashley said.
This year's Cinemalaya Film Festival, where "As If It's True" will be shown, will run from August 4 to August 13.
Ashley recently starred in figure skating series "Hearts on Ice" with Xian Lim. Khalil, meanwhile, played the grown-up version of Basilio in historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra."
Khalil is also doing a project with Maris Racal and has joined theater veterans in the Manila staging of "Tick, Tick… Boom!"
