Jake Zyrus, David Archuleta to perform at San Diego Pride
Jake Zyrus and David Archuleta are among the artists who will be performing at the San Diego Pride Festival.
The two-day event is happening on July 15 and 16 at the Balboa Park. More artists in the lineup include Princess Nokia, Saucy Santana, Pussy Riot, Moore Kismet, Whatever Mike, The Illustrious Blacks, Jimbo, Darienne Lake, Naysha Lopez, and many more.
Jake introduced himself to the world in 2017. The Filipino singer released his latest single “4 Life” in 2022. He also posts song covers on his Instagram page.
He also uses his platform to raise awareness about mental health and the LGBTQIA+ community.
David came out as part of the LGBTQIA+ community in 2021. He is best known for the songs “Crush” and “A Little Too Not Over You.”
Pride events serve to empower the LGBTQIA+ community by creating spaces where their identities are celebrated, stories are respected, and their rights are recognized. It also serves as a protest against the abuse and injustices the community faces.
Here are two Pride events you can attend in the Philippines.
We know music and performance are potent forces for change. LGBTQ arts and culture have always played a pivotal role in our defiance.
