Gabbi Garcia on 'Unbreak My Heart': 'This is my most mature role and show up to date'

Gabbi Garcia is stepping up her acting career with her upcoming series "Unbreak My Heart."

On Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Kapuso Millennial It Girl revealed that her character Alexandra is her "most mature role" to date.

Among her previous roles include Sang'gre Alena in "Encantadia," Crystal in "Mga Lihim ni Urduja," MJ in "Love You Stranger," and Brie Cuevas in "Beautiful Justice.

According to Gabbi, she underwent a sensuality workshop in preparation for "Unbreak My Heart."

"In a [sensuality workshop], you get to be vulnerable [with your scene partner] without violating each other," she said.

"There's openness and safe space for you to tell your partner na, 'Ito lang 'yung comfortable ako,'" she added.

In "Unbreak My Heart," Gabbi's character is involved in a love triangle with Joshua Garcia and Jodi Sta. Maria, who had an intense kissing scene in the trailer for the series.

In the same interview, Gabbi also said she gave a heads up to her friend Julia Barretto, Joshua's former love team and ex-girlfriend, about their project.

"Unbreak My Heart," which also stars Richard Yap, is a historic collaboration between GMA Network, ABS-CBN, and Viu Philippines.

It will air on Mondays to Thursdays starting May 29 on GMA Telebabad, Pinoy Hits, and I Heart Movies at 9:35 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. on GTV.
