Gabbi Garcia gave Julia Barretto a heads up about working with Joshua Garcia in 'Unbreak My Heart'

Gabbi Garcia said she called her friend Julia Barretto when she found out that she would be working with Joshua Garcia in "Unbreak My Heart."

On Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the King of Talk asked Gabbi whether she contacted Julia for any tips about working with her former love team and ex-boyfriend.

The Kapuso Millennial It Girl said she rang Julia to let her know about the project and also called before she traveled to Europe to shoot some scenes for the series.

"Siguro values ko lang din as a woman and as her friend. I called her in respect, delicadeza lang for me na, 'oh I'm gonna be working with Josh for this project,'" she said.

"Natawa pa nga siya na parang, 'Oh my God Gabbi you don't have to call me. Sabi niya sa 'kin, 'you don't have to call me, you don't have to even tell me, just go," she added.

Gabbi and Julia have been friends since they were in high school at St. Paul College.

Meanwhile, Gabbi and Joshua have been making fans kilig with their noticeable chemistry when the "Unbreak My Heart" cast filmed in Europe.

The historic collaboration series between GMA Network, ABS-CBN, and Viu Philippines will air on Mondays to Thursdays starting May 29 on GMA Telebabad, Pinoy Hits, and I Heart Movies at 9:35 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. on GTV.

It is also available on GMA Pinoy TV and TFC. Advanced screening is on May 27 at 9 p.m. on GMANetwork.com, iWantTFC and Viu.
