Gigi De Lana cancels Nueva Ecija gig following car accident

Gigi De Lana has canceled their Nueva Ecija gig scheduled for Monday night after the singer passed out on stage at a show in Ilocos Norte on Sunday evening.

On Facebook, Gigi posted the advisory saying "babawi po kami and we promise to deliver a show that's worth the wait."

"We need to cancel tonight's gig. We hope you understand we need to prioritize Gigi's, Oyus', Jon's, and our team members' recovery after yesterday's unfortunate incident," the advisory read.

Previously, the band asked for prayers after Gigi was caught on video collapsing on stage at a gig in Ilocos Norte. They were unable to finish their set.

"Please join us in praying for Gigi's, Jon's, Oyus', and our team members' quick recovery after yesterday's unfortunate incident," the statement read.

"Babalik kami at magsasaya taxon muli, pramis yan," they assured their followers.

The musicians figured in a car accident en route to Ilocos Norte.

According to the statement, nobody else was involved in the accident, and all issues have been resolved. "The band and crew have received medical clearance from the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center Hospital, and they will continue their journey to tonight's show," they said.
