Maja Salvador excited to learn from Vic Sotto, Jose Manalo in upcoming sitcom 'Open 24/7'
Maja Salvador is excited to work with Vic Sotto and Jose Manalo in the upcoming sitcom "Open 24/7."
In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, Maja said she said yes right away when the project was offered to her.
"Siyempre, nung una, hindi makapal ang mukha ko so unti-unti nang lumalabas kasi nararamdaman mo na parang winewelcome ka na talaga ni Bossing, ganyan, so ito na nung inoffer nga itong 'Open 24/7'. 'Oo' naman tayo kaagad. Nangingining pa 'yung 'Opo," she said.
"Dahil alam mong ito 'yung mundo talaga ni Bossing nila Kuya Jose na-e-excite ako na matuto pa ano pa 'yung pwede kong madiskubre sa paggawa ng sitcom," she added.
Maja, Vic, and Jose all worked together in "Eat Bulaga" before Maja temporarily left the noontime show to focus on her wedding preparations and due to the uncertainties surrounding the program.
In "Open 24/7," Vic will star as Boss EZ, a socially awkward guy who finds himself suddenly in charge of a convenience store.
Maja plays Mikaela, a funny and very "kikay" girl who is one of Boss EZ's crazy Gen Z crew in the store.
Jose Manalo plays Spark, Bossing's brother and co-owner of the store on the show.
Sparkle Sweethearts Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay star as Kitty and Al.
Sparkle artists Riel Lomadilla as Bekbek, Anjay Anson as Andoy, Kimson Tan as Kokoy, Abed Green as Fred, and Bruce Roeland as Doe round out the cast.
"Bossing never fails to surprise us kasi sa tagal na nating partners, palagi meron siyang bagong nabibigay sa atin na programa at ito naman napaka-exciting dahil bago 'yung casting combination, bago 'yung concept and marami ring Sparkle artists na makikita sa show na 'to sa 'Open 24/7' so we're very excited," said GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.
"Open 24/7" is a co-production of GMA and M-Zet Productions. The series is set to air starting May 27 on GMA-7.
Viewers abroad can also catch the program via GMA Pinoy TV. For more stories about the Kapuso Network, visit www.GMANetwork.com.
