Direk Mark Reyes looks back on 'Voltes V: Legacy' beginnings ahead of TV premiere

"Voltes V: Legacy" will be having its TV premiere on Monday, May 8 and ahead of its highly anticipated launch, director Mark Reyes on Instagram looked back on their first shooting day.

Posting photos from set, Direk Mark marked May 27, 2021 as Day 1.

"We finally rolled cameras in the midst of a pandemic. We started with the Skull ship/Sky Rook bridge or control room set," he began.

He recalled, "At this point, the Boazanian costumes were in development for almost half a year at this point. And we still had to wear those pointless faceshields."

The photos showed him, Voltes V program manager Helen Sese, and executive producer Darling Torres with actors in costume Epy Quizon, JC Gonzales, Liezel Lopez, and Martin del Rosario.

They've clearly gone a long way since then. "Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience," which features material from the first three weeks of the lice action adaptation, has already had a successful theater run.

It will finally make way to free tv on Monday, May 8. We cannot wait.
