Ina Feleo says solo dance on ‘Hearts on Ice’ is what late father Johnny Delgado wanted to see
Ina Feleo has the most touching story behind her solo dance on “Hearts on Ice,” and it’s all about her late father, veteran actor Johnny Delgado.
When Ina learned that her character would be dancing “'her heart and soul' in a brief vignette” in the series, “I knew immediately I had to dance to a Charlie Chaplain song that Daddy always wanted me to do that I didn’t get to do for him when he was alive.”
In an Instagram Reel, the actress and figure skater shared some of her graceful moves to the song “Smile.”
Ina said about Johnny, “The actor who was king of subtexts and irony; the one who always loved to watch me skate and never made me feel bad when I would fall or fail; who valued heart in the performance above all things.”
Dedicating this skate to him, Ina said, “I wouldn’t become the actor or skater that I am today if it were not for the pure support and faith you had in me. Salamat sinamahan mo ako, at nagbitbit ka pa ng mga manonood sa akin, artista, skaters, at ang buong crew.”
Johnny and her mom, the director Laurice Guillen, are always very supportive when it comes to Ina’s career.
Ina’s performance on “Hearts on Ice” airs tonight on GMA Telebabad after "Mga Lihim ni Urduja." It's also available on GTV, Pinoy Hits, and GMANetwork.com. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
