Bea Alonzo begs off from film project with Alden Richards due to schedule problems

Bea Alonzo has begged off from "A Moment to Remember," the film she was supposed to do with Alden Richards, due to schedule problems.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the King of Talk said Bea could no longer do the movie as had a full schedule this year.

He added that the actress did not want to keep the cast waiting for her.

"Ms. Bea Alonzo has contractual obligations with GMA Network to fulfill, and that shall remain as our top priority," read a statement from Bea's management.

Tito Boy also said that Bea welcomes a recasting of her role.

The film, which is an adaptation of the Korean film starring Son Ye Yin and Jung Woo Sung, has been postponed for the meantime.

According to a separate statement from GMA Pictures, Viva Films, and APT Entertainment, the new production date, cast, and cinema release date will be announced "in due time."

The original South Korean film centered on a relationship that is burdened by Alzheimer's disease.

Bea and Alden previously starred together in "Start-Up PH," also an adaptation of the popular Korean series which starred Bae Suzy, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Kim Seon Ho.

Meanwhile, Bea has started filming "Love Before Sunrise" with Dennis Trillo.

Alden also has an upcoming movie, "Five Break-ups and a Romance," with Julia Montes.
