Ashley Ortega, Xian Lim earn praises from their 'Hearts on Ice' co-stars

Ina Feleo, Rita Avila, and Cheska Iñigo have nothing but good things to say about "Hearts on Ice" lead stars Xian Lim and Ashley Ortega.

In a GMA media interview, Ina, Rita, and Cheska said Xian and Ashley are both hardworking and has high energy on set.

Ina said Ashley, who is a fellow figure skater, fit the role of Ponggay to a tee.

"Talagang makikita mo she's very competitive, meron siyang killer instinct na usually figure skaters have because nga it's a sport na mag-isa, sobrang intense 'yung labanan," she said.

Of Xian, Ina said she loves how the actor never changes and remains the authentic person that he is. She previously met him at a workshop.

"Mabait siya, mabuting tao siya talaga, disenteng tao talaga siya and masarap kasama, masarap kausap," she said.

"Marami siyang wisdom. You can really go deep sa usapan with him. Pwede rin mababaw. Masarap kasama. Very considerate," she added.

Rita seconded Ina's words and said Xian is the "perfect example" of a gentleman.

"May wisdom 'yung bata. Minsan 'di ko na alam kung saan niya kinukuha 'yung mga pinopost niya sa Instagram—wise words. Ang ganda niya mag-a-advise tapos siyempre, ang gwapo, gwapo," she said.

Cheska also said it's a blessing to work with Xian, Ashley, and the rest of the cast and crew of the show.

"Kahit tuloy-tuloy 'yung eksena nila pareho and pagod na pagod na sila, hindi nawawala 'yung good energy nila, and they share that with everybody," she said.

"Hearts on Ice" airs Monday to Friday at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Telebabad after "Mga Lihim ni Urduja." It's also available on GTV, Pinoy Hits, and the GMA Network website.
