Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi begin shooting their new series 'Love at First Read'

Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi have begun shooting their upcoming romantic series, "Love at First Read."

As seen on Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, Mavy and Kyline play the characters Kudos and Angelica, respectively.

"Love at First Read" is based on the hit Wattpad webnovel of the same title, which has racked up 23.3 million reads. Author Chixnita wrote the book.

It follows the story of Kudos, a secret romantic searching for the perfect girl. He finds a diary and believes that its owner, Abby, is the one for him.

However, he also meets Angelica, who distrusts men and has no interest in love. They clash at first, but soon, they develop feelings for each other.

Now, Kudos is torn between Angelica and Abby—not knowing that they are actually one and the same. Will they figure it all out and find love?

"Magsisimula sa pagiging hopeless romantic, non-believer ng love dahil sa issues sa pamilya or dating na-broken hearted dahil sa ex niya," Mavy said.

On the upcoming series, Josh Ford and Pam Prinster will play Train and Hazel, respectively. They are third wheels for Mavy and Kyline's characters on the show.

Seasoned talents Maricar de Mesa, Jestoni Alarcon, and Jackie Lou Blanco also join the cast.

Mavy and Kyline last starred on the GMA digital series, "Zero Kilometers Away."
