David Licauco and Barbie Forteza act out marriage proposal scene, make fans kilig

David Licauco and Barbie Forteza just made fans super kilig after acting out a marriage proposal scene!

As seen on Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, it happened at a thanksgiving dinner for fans.

David got down on one knee and proposed to Barbie to create a new ending for the "The Way You Look at Me" music video. 

As David was about to pop the question on one knee, Barbie asked him, "Anong pangalan ko?"

David said, "Binibining Klay, maaari mo ba kong pakasalan?"

Klay is Barbie's character on "Maria Clara at Ibarra."

As David tried put the ring on her finger, Barbie joked, "Ah, 'di pa 'ko nagye-yes."

Barbie whispered something in David's ear, then he put the ring on her finger and they hugged each other.

David said it was him who thought of that new marriage proposal scene.

"Parang inisip ko lang maganda sigurong gawin actually papakasalan... parang gusto na kitang pakasalan, ganon," he said.

David and Barbie held the intimate thanksgiving dinner for fans for their support to "The Way You Look at Me" music video, which currently has more than 1.3 million views.

"Sobrang saya namin dahil umpisa pa lang sinabi namin, 'We're both very honored to do the music video.' Ang ganda rin ng story namin. Kakaiba siya talaga. It's very heartfelt," said Barbie.

"Lahat ng 'to ay dahil sa fans na sumusuporta sa aming dalawa ni Barbie so super thank you," added David.

The pair also reenacted kilig scenes from the music video, including David catching Barbie as she falls.

Barbie and David's series, "Maria Clara at Ibarra," recently reached no. 1 on Netflix Philippines.

The series also won a bronze medal at the 2023 New York Festivals for Entertainment Program: Drama.

BarDa fans have more to look forward to as David and Barbie also started shooting a new project together.
