Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid to work on new miniseries 'Kalikasanobela'
Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, Sanya Lopez, Sofia Pablo, and Allen Ansay are all set to entertain audiences while showing the importance of taking care of the environment on the upcoming four-part miniseries, "Kalikasanobela."
According to Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the program will also inform viewers about the poor state of the environment and why it's important to reuse, reduce, and recycle.
Bianca and Ruru talked about the challenges of taking care of the environment.
"Hindi rin siya madaling ituro at hindi mabilis at hindi siya mangyayari overnight," Bianca said.
"I know na maraming gustong tumulong sa pagprotekta sa kalikasan pero wala silang boses or hindi nila alam kung paano sila tutulong so, I guess 'yun ang ginagawa namin ngayon," Ruru added.
The project is a partnership between the Kapuso Network and Nestlé Philippines.
"In GMA, we believe that there is a need to have a concerted and cooperative effort to save our earth and keep it livable," said GMA Network Inc. VP for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier Cruz.
"Imagine if the artists are the ones that would convey the message to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials, the waste that we generate at home then, it will be more effective in conveying that message," said Jose Uy III, Nestlé Philippines SVP and Head of Corporate Affairs.
