Mark Bautista reveals limitations to roles being offered to him after coming out as bisexual in 2018 book
Mark Bautista revealed he experienced being "stereotyped" after coming out as a bisexual man in his 2018 book, "Beyond the Mark."
In Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the theater actor and singer said that he found it unfair that he was being limited to specific acting roles after revealing his sexual orientation.
"I think [it is unfair] kasi gusto ko pa rin gawin 'yung straight na roles pero after nung [ni-release ko yung book ko], marami ring nag-offer sa 'kin na movies na gagawin, but puro BL (Boys' Love)," he said.
"Nagkaroon na ng limitation 'yung binibigay na offers o na-si-stereotype na 'yung role na pwedeng ibigay sa 'kin," he added.
While his music career stayed mostly the same, Mark admitted to having fears about whether or not people would still want to watch him perform.
"In terms of music, I feel like nagkakaroon pa rin ako ng mga shows, it's the same naman, parang walang nagbago," he said.
"[Pero] ngayon, 'pag nag-ko-concert ako, lagi ng may fear na 'may manunuod ba or something?'" he added.
