Boy Abunda addresses controversy surrounding Vanessa Hudgens press conference: 'She was not offended'

Boy Abunda set the record straight: Vanessa Hudgens wasn't offended during the "Fast Talk" portion of a media conference held earlier this month.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the King of Talk said there was no indicator Vanessa was offended during his in-person interview with the Filipino-American actress held at Manila House, BGC last month.

"May mga usap-usapan na na-offend 'di umano si Vanessa because I did 'Fast Talk'," Boy said.

He admitted that "'Fast Talk' was not part of the press conference."

"[But as] I was ending the interview, somebody shouted gently, 'Tito boy, Fast Talk!'"

Because of the harmless heckling by the attendees, "si Vanessa Hudgens, nagtanong. 'Boy, what is Fast Talk?'"

"Very quickly, ipinaliwanag ko na po, 'it's rapid-fire questioning, and then you tell me the first thing that comes to mind,' so tinuloy ko na po," the host explained.

According to Boy, Vanessa willingly answered the questions and "was having fun."

"There was no indicator that Vanessa Hudgens was offended. She was having fun. The vibe was happy," Boy added.

"Walang indication that she was offended. And I would know [because] I've been interviewing people for over 30 years."

Before leaving in fact, Boy shared how Vanessa told him, "I love your energy."

Boy also addressed rumors that Director Paul Soriano got upset with him because he went off the script.

According to talk show host, he bid goodbye to Paul. "If Paul had problems with me — kaya hindi ako naniniwala that he had an issue with me because  he could have called me out. If he was bothered, [or] pissed with 'Fast Talk,' I would've felt it," he said.

Boy shared about receiving feedback from a reliable person from Vanessa's team that they were happy with the interview and the actress' overall visit to the Philippines.

"And in particular, they have no complaints and were very happy with our interview during the media conference," he said.

Last month, Vanessa was named a Global Tourism Ambassador for the Philippines.
