Marco Sison remembers grandson, Andrei Sison
OPM balladeer Marco Sison was emotional as he remembered his grandson, Andrei Sison, who passed away in a car accident last month.
According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras” on Monday, Marco was deeply saddened over the incident, saying the late teen artist, who was under Sparkle GMA Artist Center, could have experienced more that life has to offer.
Andrei and two others died on March 24 in a car accident.
“He's so full of life, di ba? So promising, so talented and then wala lang. Hanggang dun lang. Hindi man lang niya naranasan yung sarap ng buhay ng isang tao,” said Marco.
(He’s so full of life. So promising, so talented, and then nothing. He could have experienced more.)
He related that Andrei met an accident at a young age.
“Nahulog iyan sa third floor ng condo na tinutuluyan nila. Walang nangyari sa kanya and then eto, sakay ka ng kotse, naka-seatbelt ka…Lahat ng proteksyon. Airbag, everything,” he added.
(He fell from the third floor of their condo before. Nothing happened to him but now, he was riding the car and was wearing a seatbelt.)
Not only is he talented but the singer also described Andrei as a kind and obedient child. The singer even shared a funny exchange with his grandson as he recalled how they would always joke around each other.
“Lagi niyang sinasabi yung ano mas pogi raw siya sa akin. Sabi ko wala kang karapatang magsalita ng ganyan kasi ako ang original. Lahat kayo galing sa akin,” he said.
(He’s always saying that he’s more handsome than me. I told him he has no right to say that because I was the original. All of them came from me.)
However, Marco said he was most worried about his son, Alain Marco Salvador, who was greatly affected by the incident.
“Kasi it's not a normal thing, di ba? Syempre, usually the parent moves on first, not the kid so as a father, I was worried more siyempre…kay Alain,” he added.
