Did you know? Baron Geisler's movie 'Dollhouse' was based on Faye Lorenzo's dad
On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday, Faye Lorenzo revealed "Dollhouse," the Netflix movie that Baron Geisler top billed in 2022 ,was about her dad.
"He was a drug addict, and medyo sensitive ako kasi baka i-judge siya ng mga tao," she added tearfully.
According to Netflix, "Dollhouse" is about a troubled lead singer of a rock band who sets out to build a relationship with his long-lost daughter.
Despite her father's drug problem, Faye says he was actually a good dad.
According to Faye, she would often tell her father to change his ways.
When her father eventually passed away when she was 14, Faye became her family's breadwinner. She took on odd jobs, and with her lola, even sold banana cue.
On the night her lola passed away, Faye recounted how she told her told about auditioning for GMA-7. "Sabi niya, 'makukuha ka diyan. Magiging artista ka.'"
