Claudine Barretto celebrates Rico Yan’s birthday with a cake

Claudine Barretto honored her late boyfriend and ka-love team Rico Yan on what would have been his 48th birthday.

The actress posted a photo of a birthday cake on Instagram. “Happy birthday, Rico” and “Love, RYCB,” the name of their fans’ club, were written on the cake.

Claudine also wrote a heartwarming caption.

“Happy happy Birthday in Heaven Ry. [You] will forever be missed, loved [and] Remembered,” she said.

Kapuso actor Ken Chan greeted Rico happy birthday in the comments section, and Rico’s sister Tina commented the prayer, heart, and candle emojis.

Rico’s birthday was on March 14. He died of cardiac arrest due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis on March 29, 2002. He was 27 years old.

Claudine often posts about Rico on social media. In 2021, she shared Rico's sweet love letter to her.

Some of Claudine and Rico’s top films include “Got 2 Believe” and “Flames: The Movie.” The longtime loveteam also appeared in the series “Mula sa Puso.”
