Camille Prats on returning to acting after five years: 'So many memories built, ang dami kong pwedeng paghugutan'
After a five-year hiatus, Camille Prats chose the TV show, "AraBella," for her comeback, and as it turns out, it's a very personal one.
On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Tuesday, Camille began by talking about her acting technique on the series.
"I use real life situations," she began, adding "I create scenarios using the people who are very close to me."
In the five years Camille did not act, she grew a wealth of experiences. "Nagkaroon ako ng malaking bangko. My family grew, there were so many memories build in those five years," she said.
"So every time I try to create scenes in my head, andami kong pwedeng paghugutan ng saya 'tas ginagawa ko na lang siyang drama aspect in my head, like I create dialogues," she added.
She applies this technique on "Arabella," where she plays the role of Roselle.
"Nawalan ng anak itong si Roselle. I have kids, I have a daughter, and [as Roselle] I lost a daughter. So 'yun talaga 'yung parang una kong ginamit na idea in my head like, 'what if I lose Nala for real?'"
"Mas sina-savor ko 'yung moments ko with her because I feel like it's really such a blessing to still have her in my life if sa totoong buhay, may mga nanay — naiiyak nga ako, Tito Boy — kung sa totoong buhay, may nawawalan talaga ng anak. I cannot imagine the pain of that parent going through that."
Earlier during the fast talk portion, when Tito Boy asked Camille what her greatest achievement is, she said, "My family."
Camille and her husband VJ Yambao celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2022.
Nala is one of Camille's kids with VJ. They also have a son named Nolan.
