Bianca Umali shares why she is not afraid to die

Bianca Umali lost her mom when she was 5 years old due to breast cancer and then lost her dad at age 10 due to a heart attack.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Kapuso celebrity talked about why she isn't afraid to die.

"I used to be afraid of death," Bianca began. "But, now, thinking of it, now that you asked me, I think it's not scary for me to die kasi makikita ko sila ulit. I know they will be with me, holding my hand when I go through it."

According to Bianca, she didn't really realize the gravity of her parents' deaths because she was so young when they passed away.

"Nung bata po kasi ako, wala pa naman po akong naintindihan e so, I did not know the gravity nung sitwasyon, na kung na san ako na I was losing both my parents," she said.

"Ngayon na tumatanda ako, habang lumilinaw 'yung pag-iisip ko at nakikita ko 'yung realidad ng mundo, every year that I get old, mas nagiging raw or fresh sa 'kin na wala akong mommy and daddy kasi siguro, Tito Boy, nakukuha ko o nagagawa ko 'yung mga bagay na dapat itinuturo sa 'kin o dapat may kasama ako na gawin, but I don't have them beside me."

When asked for her message for her late parents, Bianca said, "Alam ko na hindi akong perpektong anak all the time, but I try my best and I hope I make you proud."

"Lahat ng ginagawa ko ngayon ay para sa inyo, para sa ama at para kay mama. I dedicate everything to them," she said.

Bianca was raised by her grandmother, to whom she says she owes everything.

Bianca can next be seen in the upcoming TV show, "The Write One," with her real-life boyfriend Ruru. The show will premiere on March 20 on GMA Telebabad, GTV, and Pinoy Hits. It can also be streamed on Viu starting March 18. — Kimberly Tsao/LA, GMA Integrated News
