Liza Soberano shuts down rumors that she had an abortion

Liza Soberano shut down the long-standing rumor that she had an abortion.

In Bea Alonzo's vlog, the actress bravely did the Lie Detector Challenge and directly addressed the issue.

"I was accused of that during the time I got operated on in the States for my finger," she said.

Liza said it was a blind item that was obviously pointing to her, and it happened on the day she was being rolled to the operating room for her surgery.

The actress said she was frustrated because she got hurt on the set of a show she was doing.

"I wasn't allowed to talk about it for some reason," she said.

Speculations then began as Liza could not post on her social media for a long time due to the injury.

"Pa'no ako magpo-post I was wearing a cast, and I was always sick 'cause I was taking antibiotics constantly," she said.

In addition, she began to get a little chubbier before she traveled to the States for the surgery. She was coming off two years of exercising in preparation for a role, but she had to stop due to her injury.

"It's just sad that I couldn't defend myself like that so I had to post the picture na nagpa-opera ako and for some reason people still didn't believe it," she said.

Liza said that she would not have hidden it if she had actually gotten pregnant then.

"I was in a really good relationship that was accepted by my people. If I did get pregnant, why wouldn't I come forward with it?" she said.

"And I would never get an abortion because that's not just something I believe in personally," she added.

Bea then asked her on her views on abortion.

"For myself I wouldn't do that, just because that's my personal belief. But I don't hold it against anyone else that does that."
