Get to know 'Hearts on Ice' characters in new trailer

"Hearts on Ice" just released its full trailer, and it has finally introduced its cast of characters!

While we know that lead actress Ashley Ortega is an aspiring figure skating champion and Xian Lim is the son of a mall owner, there's little information on the supporting cast until now.

As the first-ever figure skating series on Philippine TV, the show has several figure skaters, both young and old, who want to be the very best on ice.

"Hearts on Ice" will be making its premiere on GMA Telebabad next week, so without further ado, let's get to know the characters below.

1. Ashley Ortega as Ponggay

Ponggay dreams of becoming a figure skater, but she has a disability with her leg.

She also has to navigate the competitive world of ice skating and family dynamics, but in the middle of all it, she may fall in love.

2. Xian Lim as Enzo

Enzo and Ponggay are childhood friends who drift apart but meet again later on in life.

Enzo comes from a rich family and dreams of having a career in music. However, he's being pressured to take over the family business, the mall where an skating rink is located.

3. Cheska Iñigo as Vivian

She is the mom of Enzo and can be controlling and manipulative with her children, Enzo and his younger sister. She is also an absent mother.

Vivian is a sophisticated and successful businesswoman that
wants Enzo to run the family business, the mall.

4. Amy Austria as Libay

Libay is the mom of Ponggay. Libay used to be one of the top ice skaters until she became pregnant with Ponggay.

5. Lito Pimentel as Ruben

Ruben is the partner of Libay and the father that Ponggay knew growing up. He owns a small store and is ready to help Ponggay achieve her dreams.

6. Tonton Gutierrez as Gerald

Gerald used to be in a relationship with Libay, Ponggay's mom. He is now in a relationship with Enzo's mom.

He is also the brother of Ivana and a real estate developer.

7. Rita Avila as Yvanna

Yvanna is also a former figure skater who is cold and competitive.

She is the mom of Monique, who is also a figure skater.

8. Roxie Smith as Monique

Monique is a professionally trained skater in the United States who comes back to the Philippines. Monique befriends Ponggay, but the two do not realize their moms are enemies.

9. Ina Feleo as Coach Wendy

Wendy is a renowned figure skating coach in the country. Her reputation was ruined because she was rumored to have an affair with a married man.

No one from the skating community asked her to coach them after that, until Yvanna invites her to be Monique's coach.

10. Kim Perez as Bogs

He is the best friend of Enzo and at the same time, an admirer of Ponggay. Bogs is also a musician and businessman.

11. Ruis Gomez as Oliver

He plays one of Enzo's executive staff.

12. Skye Chua as Sonja

Sonja is figure skater who is mean to Ponggay.

Olympic figure skater Michael Martinez is set to guest star as well.

"Hearts on Ice" is scheduled to air starting March 13 at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Telebabad after "Mga Lihim ni Urduja." It's also available on GTV, Pinoy Hits, and gmanetwork.com/full.
