Francis M’s polo from the ‘Bagsakan’ music video to be put for auction for Parokya Ni Edgar’s Gab Chee Kee
The school polo that Francis M wore in the “Bagsakan” music video — the legendary rap song featuring him, Parokya Ni Edgar, and Gloc-9 — will be put up for auction to help pay for the medical bills of the band’s guitarist, Gab Chee Kee.
On Instagram, Chito Miranda narrated how he messaged one of the daughters of the late Master Rapper, Saab Magalona.
“Tingnan nyo kung ano yung nahanap namin. Yung polo ni Sir Kiko sa Bagsakan,” Chito said.
According to Parokya's vocalist, they didn't count on finding the 3rd polo from the video. "Pero nagbakasakali ako, at nag-message ako kay Saab Magalona,” he said.
After a few days, Saab sent the photo of the polo. “[And] pumayag si Ma'am Pia ipa-auction yung polo ni Sir Kiko for Gab!!!" Chito wrote excitedly, referring to Pia Magalona, Francis M.'s widow and Saab's mom.
"Game on!!!” He said.
Details for the auction are yet to be announced.
Parokya earlier put up for auction the polo Chito Miranda wore in the video. It sold for P150,000.
At that time, he said, “Sana mahanap namin polo ni Sir Kiko.”
Last January, Chito revealed Gab was hospitalized due to pneumonia, a complication brought on by his lymphoma.
Their friends in the industry have helped raise funds, including an Eraserheads-signed guitar that sold for P1.3 million.
A fundraising gig titled Resbak Para Kay Gab, featuring top OPM artists, is also set for March 4.
Gab was recently transferred to a regular room after spending weeks in intensive care and progressive care, playing the guitar as medical personnel were wheeling him.
