Sanya Lopez brings back her abs for 'Mga Lihim ni Urduja'

Sanya Lopez had to be extra fit when playing the legendary warrior queen Urduja in "Mga Lihim ni Urduja."

In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, Sanya and some of her co-stars talked about their roles in the upcoming mega series. 

"Grabe, ngayon, nag-workout ulit ako, nagpa-abs ulit ako," said Sanya, laughing. "Pero mahirap siya ibalik ha!"

Sanya previously displayed her abs when playing the role of Sang'gre Danaya in "Encantadia." 

Like "Encantadia," "Mga Lihim ni Urduja" involves plenty of action scenes as the protagonists are on a quest to find Urduja's missing jewels while enemy bounty hunters try to stop them.

"The action scene dito, it's something else," said Vin Abrenica, one of the bounty hunters.

Michelle Dee, who also plays one of the villains, said that she is happy to do an action series.

"Sobrang natuwa ako kasi medyo pangarap ko po talaga na mag-action and mapakita ko naman 'yung other side other than my beauty queen facade kasi I have a background in martial arts," Michelle said.

"I love riding my motorcycle. I shoot [a] gun," she said.

Kylie Padilla has previously showed off her fighting skills in preparation for the show. She and Gabbi Garcia play Gem and Crystal, descendants of Urduja.

Other cast members include Jeric Gonzales, Gina Pareño, Arra San Agustin, Kristoffer Martin, and Pancho Magno.

"Mga Lihim ni Urduja" will premiere on February 27 on GMA.
