Mikee Quintos dedicates 'The Write One' project to longtime handler as they part ways

Mikee Quintos is looking forward to her upcoming series “The Write One.”

She also has a special reason behind her passion for it, and is because she wants to honor her former handler. Jel Capistrano is someone the Kapuso actress calls her “guardian angel, [literally], since day 1 of my showbiz career!”

Jel has been with Mikee since she signed with GMA Network in 2015. Unfortunately, his "resignation’s been effective for 3 days now," according to Mikee.

“He taught me the basic do’s and [don’ts] in the business, took charge of my schedule and basically my whole life for the past [seven] years,” she said on Instagram.

The actress added, “I’m truly grateful for every laughter, every celebrated win and every tear of defeat shared with you, [Ate Jel]! You helped equip me with so much confidence and love in our time together. (Umabot na nga sa buong family ko.)”

Mikee said that she can never repay her former handler for taking care of her, and so she will just dedicate her next project to him.

“[This] one’s for you! I’ll make you proud,” she said.

Aside from Mikee, “The Write One” stars Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, and Paul Salas. The romantic drama series is produced by GMA Public Affairs, and is the network’s first partnership with Viu Philippines.
