Klay is eager to save 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' characters as series transitions to El Fili
As "Maria Clara at Ibarra" transitions from "Noli Me Tangere" to "El Filibusterismo," Barbie Forteza's Klay is eager to save the characters from the threats they are going to face.
In the three-minute teaser released Monday, Klay was seen wanting to go back to the novel's world after knowing what will happen.
"Nabasa ko na po 'yung libro pero ngayon po, Mr. Torres, kailangan ko pong makabalik. Kailangan ko pong iligtas ang mga tauhan sa kwento," she said.
("I've read the books but now, Mr. Torres, I need to go back. I need to save the characters in the story.")
Among the snippets also shown in the teaser are Maria Clara and Padre Salvi's heavy encounter, the introduction of Khalil Ramos as Basilio, and Dennis Trillo's new look as Simoun, the alter ego of Crisostomo Ibarra.
"Maria Clara at Ibarra" is based on Dr. Jose Rizal's novels. The "El Filibusterismo" chapters will start on January 23.
