'Voltes V: Legacy' earns praises from Toei executive: 'Your robots look cool and intense'
"Voltes V: Legacy" just earned praises from an executive of Toei Company, the original maker of the "Voltes V" anime series.
In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Monday, Shinichiro Shirakura, Toei's Director of Planning and Production, said he was wowed by the show's special effects.
"Your robots look cool and intense—beautifully designed with very high quality visual effects. I was really surprised. I honestly admire all of you for the great job that you have done," he said.
"I am personally very inspired. I think your production is so excellent that it made me feel strongly that we must do better to match your quality in the Philippines," he added.
Paul Ticzon, First Vice President and Head of GMA Network Inc. Post-Production, said that the "Voltes V: Legacy" post-production team worked hard to make the scenes "larger than life."
"Kailangan ikaw mismo, you're very, very proud of the end product," he said.
He also gave more insight on the post-production work involved and what fans and new viewers can look forward to, including the video graphics and sound design.
The "Voltes V: Legacy" mega trailer, which debuted on New Year's Eve, wowed audiences as it hit two million views on Facebook in under 24 hours.
