Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay reveal what they discovered about each other in 'Luv Is: Caught In His Arms'

Sparkle sweethearts Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay will star in their first-ever primetime TV series "Luv Is: Caught In His Arms," and the show marks many firsts for the two fast-rising Kapuso stars.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Sofia and Allen revealed that they learned so much about each other during their lock-in taping for the show.

For Allen, he said that working with Sofia made him realize how easy it is to work with someone you already know so well.

"Mas napapadali ko 'yung trabaho' pag andyan talaga si Sofia kasi kilala ko na siya," Allen said. "Alam niya kung paano palakasin 'yung loob ko."

("My job is easier when Sofia is there because I know her. She knows how to motivate me.")

Meanwhile, according to Sofia, their upcoming TV series unlocked a new skill for Allen, which is speaking fluently in English.

"Kaya niya pala maging magaling sa English," Sofia said. "Kasi nung nakilala ko po siya dati, nahihiya po siya mag-English."

("[I learned that] he can become better in English. Because when I first met him, he is shy to speak English.")

According to Allen, he worked very hard to give justice to his character, Nero Ferell, in the show because he's the exact opposite of him in real life.

"Binigay ko 'yung 100% ko dito, kasi si Nero Ferrell, napakaiba sa totoong Allen, the way magsalita, gumalaw, mayaman," he said.

("I have my 100% for this, because Nero Ferrell is so different from the real Allen, the way he speaks, moves, he's rich.")

Sofia will portray the role of Florence Almero, who is good at cooking. So she prepared to give life to her character by learning several recipes online to make her acting more natural.

"Ako po talaga 'yung nagluluto sa show [I'm really the one cooking on the show]," Sofia said.

Previously, Sofia and Allen revealed that they have feelings for each other but are not in a committed relationship yet.

"Luv Is: Caught In His Arms" is a collaboration project between GMA Network and Wattpad Webtoon Studios. It follows the story of Florence Almero, who will serve as a cook in the wealthy household of the Ferells, where she will meet Nero Ferell.

Joining Sofia and Allen are Vince Maristela, Raheel Bhyria, Michael Sager, Sean Lucas, Caitlyn Stave, Cheska Fausto, Kirsten Gonzales, and Tanya Ramos.

"Luv Is: Caught In His Arms" will air on GMA Telebabad on January 16, every weekday at 8:50 p.m. As of writing, its trailer has amassed over 1.5 million views on Facebook.
