Rabiya Mateo shows support for Celeste Cortesi: '5th crown na 'to for the country'

We love seeing queens supporting their fellow queens!

On Thursday, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo showed support for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi through social media.

In her Instagram Stories, Rabiya shared a video of Celeste during the preliminary competition.

"5th Crown na ['to] for the country!" she said in the caption.

In an earlier interview, Celeste revealed that she and Rabiya are good friends, and that it was Rabiya who pushed her to compete in Miss Universe Philippines.

During Thursday's preliminary swimsuit competition for Miss Universe 2022, Celeste strutted down the catwalk in a hot pink bikini featuring a symbolic white cape with hand prints, highlighting her experience in "visiting the youth and their families during the Save the Children Philippines outreach in Marawi."

Meanwhile, the Philippines' bet looked every inch celestial in a sky-blue gown by Oliver Tolentino during the long gown portion.

The event is currently happening in New Orleans, live streaming on the Lazada App.
