Mark Bautista looks back on pre-showbiz challenges: 'What if I didn't risk chasing my dream?'

Mark Bautista looked back on the leap he made to make it into showbiz.

Posting pictures of a cargo ship in Siargao on Instagram, Mark said he had flashbacks to the trips he had to take just to chase his dreams.

“Ganito sinakyan namin ng brother ko noon for [two] and half days going to Manila (dahil mahal ang plane ticket) just to audition for the singing contest (‘Star For A Night’),” he said in his caption.

Originally from Cagayan De Oro City, the singer placed first runner-up in “Star For a Night,” following Sarah Geronimo, who was the show’s grand champion.

“And now it’s more than [20 years] and it made me question—what if I didn’t take that chance? What if I didn’t risk chasing my dream? It would’ve been a different story by now,” he added.

But looking at it now, the balladeer said “it was the best decision I made [and I] couldn’t be more grateful.”

“God really works in so many ways that’s fit and good for you,” Mark said.
