Julie Anne San Jose shares 'most challenging' scene between Maria Clara and Padre Damaso

If you've been keeping up with "Maria Clara at Ibarra," then you'd know that Maria Clara finally found out the truth about her parents.

In the latest episode, Maria Clara, played by Julie Anne San Jose, learned that her father was actually the Spanish friar Padre Damaso, and not Kapitan Tiyago as she was raised to believe.

Julie Anne shared a clip of the emotional confrontation scene between Maria Clara and Padre Damaso on Instagram.

"By far one of my most challenging confrontational scenes in MCI," she said. "Muchas gracias a todos sa walang sawang pagsuporta at pagsubaybay, xoxo."

Boyfriend Rayver Cruz gave his full support in the comments section.

"Ang husay husay mo naman," he said. "Grabe!"

Rodjun Cruz also piped in. "Grabe naman! Powerful scene! Best Actress." He also gave kudos to actor Tirso Cruz III for his performance as Padre Damaso. "Solid tito Pip. Best actor."

“Maria Clara at Ibarra” is based on Dr. Jose Rizal's novels "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo."
