Ashley Ortega praises 'Hearts on Ice' co-star Xian Lim: 'Isa na siyang dakilang figure skater'

Ashley Ortega is all praises for her "Hearts on Ice" leading man Xian Lim, who has dedicated himself to his skating training the past few months.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," the Kapuso actress said fans should look forward to Xian's skating in the upcoming series.

"Nakipagsabayan talaga si Xian. I hope people can appreciate his efforts also kasi ang galing na niya," Ashley said. "Isa na siyang dakilang figure skater kasi nag-pass na rin siya ng first level sa figure skating."

("Xian did not let himself get left behind. I hope people can appreciate his efforts also because he has improved so much. He is now a full-fledged figure skater because he passed his first level of figure skating.")

Ashley recently performed in the "Carols on Ice," a musical Christmas ice show organized by the Philippine Skating Union.

She skated together with fellow Sparkle artist and national figure skater Skye Chua.

Other performers in the show were two-time Olympian Michael Martinez, 2022 Asian Open gold medalist Sofia Frank, and figure skating pair Isabella Gamez and Aleksandr Korovin.
