Boy Abunda does the iconic 'Fast Talk' with Jessica Soho

Of course, Jessica Soho wouldn’t miss doing “Fast Talk” with Boy Abunda’s return to GMA.

In an episode of “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” Soho made Tito Boy answer a series of questions such as what makes him smile, his biggest achievement, and the last time he lied.

Meanwhile, Soho also gave it a try and was welcomed with “lights on or lights off,” “sex or chocolates,” and her dream superpower, among others.

According to Tito Boy, among his main reasons for inventing “Fast Talk” was relevance in the industry, saying it does not worry him that much.

“Siguro nga dahil sa manager ako, nakita ko yung mga tao na nag-umpisa being an unknown, sumikat, nawala, Laos. Yung relevance is attached to your self-worth,” he said.

(“Maybe it’s because I’m a manager. I saw how people who used to be famous became someone who lost relevance.”)

“Kung hindi na ako puwede, pupunta ako sa isang bagay kung saan maitataas ko yung relevance ko,” he added. “That’s one of the reasons why I invented fast talks.”

(“If I am no longer relevant, I will try to do something that would remind people of me. That’s one of the reasons why I started doing fast talks.”)

In the same interview, Tito Boy described his return to GMA as going back home.

“Parating sinasabi ng nanay ko, kahit saan ka mapunta, always find your way back home.”

(“My mom would always tell me to find my way back home.”)

Meanwhile, for the first time, Tito Boy talked about being tagged as an “enabler”.

“I did not enable anyone."

The “enabler” comment from netizens came after his January 2022 interview with President Bongbong Marcos, who was still running for the position then. According to him, it was the first time they talked.

“Mahirap makipag-debate, ‘di ba? I was finishing his lines,” he said. “I did my job to the best I could.”

“I refuse to entertain negativity or trolls into my space. I’m old enough to know kung saan ako tama at kung saan ako mali,” he continued, adding that his support system is his partner Bong.

According to Tito Boy, he’d always try to choose to ignore bashers as “I will not be defined by your words.”

Tito Boy officially returned to GMA Network Thursday. During the signing, he expressed how grateful he is for the trust given to him as a “presenter, social host, interviewer.”

Among Boy Abunda’s notable works with GMA Network in the past were “Show & Tell” and “Startalk.”
