Yasmien Kurdi recalls her attempts to get GMA to notice her before her artista days
At some point in time, Yasmien Kurdi was simply a girl with a dream.
In an interview on 'Updated With Nelson Canlas,' the 'Start-Up PH' actress recalled the things she used to do in an attempt to get executives from GMA Network to notice her.
Cross ako, cross na naman ako pabalik," she said.
She said she also went to 'Eat Bulaga' tapings, lining up as early as 5 a.m., because her mother told her that Donita Rose was noticed that way.
During this, she was even caught on camera!
"Hanggang ngayon kilala ko si Kuya ‘yung cameraman nu’n nakaka-work ko ‘yun ngayon," she revealed.
Yasmien was also asked to go to stage during an 'Eat Bulaga' taping. This was before she auditioned for and joined 'Starstruck,' so she was delighted.
"Sabi ko, hala baka madiscover ako," she said.
Despite these failed attempts, Yasmien eventually succeeded when she finished as first runner-up in the first season of 'Starstruck' in 2003.
And now she has many shows and films under her name. Currently, she stars in 'Start-Up PH' with Alden Richards and Bea Alonzo.
