Atom Araullo renews contract with GMA Network

Atom Araullo remains a committed Kapuso after renewing his contract with GMA Network on Saturday.

Present in the contract signing at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City are GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and President of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, First Vice President of Public Affairs Nessa Valdellon, First Vice President and Head of GMA Regional TV and Synergy, and Acting Head of GMA Integrated News Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, and talent manager Noel Ferrer.

Also present in the signing are GMA Integrated News Deputy Head for News Programs and Specials Michelle Seva, Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs Angeli Atienza, GMA Integrated News Senior Program Manager Kate Dela Cruz, and Public Affairs Senior Program Manager Joseph Conrad Rubio.

"I'm just so lucky to work with some of the best in the industry, very talented, very dedicated people both on camera and most especially behind the camera," Atom said.

The veteran broadcast journalist hosts the documentary program "The Atom Araullo Specials" and serves as anchor for "State of the Nation."

Atom was recently named Journalist of the Year by Esquire Philippines.

He received several awards this year for "The Atom Araullo Specials: Munting Bisig," which won the Best Asian Documentary at the Asia Content Awards in October.

It also bagged the silver award for Documentaries and Reports (TV, Online, and Cinema) in the Human Concerns and Social Issues category at the Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards.

At the New York Festivals TV and Film Awards 2022, the episode took home the gold award in the Documentary: Social Issues category. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
