Iya Villania, Drew Arellano attend world premiere of 'Avatar: The Way of Water,' speak to cast and crew
Iya Villania and Drew Arellano were one of the lucky ones to attend the world premiere of "Avatar: The Way of Water" in London, United Kingdom.
The couple could not help but cry when they watched the film, relating so much as parents to four children.
As seen in Iya's report on "24 Oras," Friday, Iya and Drew also got a chance to sit down with the cast and crew and talk about the film.
"The themes of family, and motherhood, and sticking together as a community, those were things that really important to me when I read the script," said Kate Winslet, who plays Ronal.
Stephen Lang, who plays Colonel Quaritch, spoke about the difficulty of filming the underwater fights.
Meanwhile, Iya asked director James Cameron what inspired him to tell the story of the film.
"My whole life, you know, from being a teenage kid and not feeling like I really fit in to to then being a father of teenagers," he said. "It's a tough time for people, right, for all of us. And I wanted to tell that story."
"Life is a rollercoaster of emotions, and when art can imitate life, it can also inspire life," added producer Jon Landau.
Several Kapuso stars also watched the advanced screening of the film in Manila, including Allen Ansay, Sofia Pablo, Radson Flores, and Raphael Landicho.
