Why did Boy Abunda return to GMA? 'Gusto kong gumawa ng trabaho na mahal ko'

Boy Abunda is finally back with GMA Network, and he feels more at home than ever.

In an interview with GMA Integrated News on Thursday, the King of Talk said it took a long time before things fell into place.

“Matagal na usapan,” he said. “Bakit ako narito? Dahil nawalan ako ng tahanan. Nawalan ako ng show at sabi ko nga kanina, I’m being welcomed buong puso ng GMA-7.”

“I am back because gusto kong makabalik sa telebisyon, gusto kong gumawa ng mga palabas, gusto kong gumawa ng trabaho na alam ko gawin at trabaho na mahal ko. That’s the reason I’m back.”

Though Tito Boy left another company, he clarified that “maayos akong nakipag-usap, maayos akong nag-paalam, maayos akong nagbabalik dito sa GMA-7.”

Tito Boy officially returned to GMA Network Thursday. During the signing, he expressed how grateful he is for the trust given to him as a “presenter, social host, interviewer.”

Among Boy Abunda’s notable works with GMA Network in the past were “Show & Tell” and “Startalk.” — LA, GMA Integrated News
